Full screen Game play issue in Windows 7

Games are not playing in full screen in Windows 7 is a serious issue revolving around the Gamers. This full screen issue mostly seems on Laptops and Notebooks which comes with display resolution more than 1024 X 768. Even persons using Windows 7 in their desktops with display resolution more than 1024 X 768 may suffers the same. This happens due to incompatibility with video card and playing 32-bit games in 64-bit version of windows 7. When playing games like NFS Most Wanted, EA Cricket, Call of duty, etc black bars are displayed in all sides of the display as shown below.



In some games only left and right side of the display have black bars. Problem still persists on Windows 7 64-bit version. Microsoft and Graphic card legends ATI and Nvidia working on these issue. There is no proper solution available in Article directory of Microsoft and forums of ATI. But seriously working on same issue with a Windows 7 64-bit version pre-installed Notebook with ATI Radeon graphic card, we got a solution for this. Just do the steps below to enjoy the gaming experience in full screen.
  • Make your display resolution 1024 X 768.
  • Run ATI Catalyst Control Centre (ATI CCC).
  • Select the Quick Settings Tab.
  • Click Notebook Panel Properties.
  • Click Resize the desktop to fit the display panel.
  • Click Go.
  • Select the option Resize to fit the display panel.
  • Click Finish button.
  • Exit ATI Catalyst Control Center.
  • Change the display resolution to recommended settings using default Windows 7 display options.
