Nokia smart phones used Google maps for navigation search but with the advent of Ovi maps Nokia claims it is better than Google maps. To make it trust worthy Nokia released a new version of Ovi maps. This version features Turn by Turn technology, enables us to use 3D navigation, drive navigation, walk navigation, event guides and views like street view, city view, state view and country view.

Ovi maps supports voice navigation guidance for 72 countries available in 46 languages. Supported devices are 5800 xpress music, 5800 navigation edition, 5230,  N97, N97 mini, E72, E55, E52, 6710 navigation edition and X6. From coming march devices will be bundled with pre-installed with new version Ovi maps. Nokia also launched the browser version of Ovi maps which has almost same functionality allows everyone to try new Ovi maps whether the person owns Nokia or not. This new ovi maps available for free download. You can also download mobile version of Ovi maps from Nokia websites and also from dedicated Ovi maps website which contains the browser version. Competing to App store, Ovi store is enhanced to download games, themes, applications and much more Nokia mobile needs.
