Boxee, an web video software manufacturer announced its new software that has going to be installed on television set-top boxes. According to the press release Boxee made partnership with Taiwanese network device manufacturer D-Link. The new set-top box from D-Link will provide internet and also large collection of web videos using Boxee’s software. The new bundle is named as Boxee Box. Boxee serves free web video software for PC and Mac. We can see Boxee’s involvement in home televisions also through its new Box product. Boxee Box includes HDMI port, WIFI, USB2.0, Ethernet, SD slot and improved software. Set top box will be available on next year at a price less than $200.
